Battutabooks - Our Story
It all started with the birth of our daughter.
Before the birth of our daughter, we as parents were looking for print products that would accompany our daughter’s first milestones, but also correspond to our values as Muslims. In addition, the design quality was very important to us. Since we didn’t find anything, the most obvious idea was to design our own. Our first product was “My First Islamic Milestone Cards.” Gradually, other products were added. Among them unique Islamic posters, postcards, and our main products: The first personalized Islamic children’s books!
In the footsteps of Ibn Battuta
“Travel – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” – Ibn Battuta
Ibn Battuta was a 14th century Muslim traveler who had devoted his entire life to travel and foreign cultures. Thus, he got to know different cultures, which he knew how to combine in his own way. He lived and served in different countries and was able to share and contribute his different cultural experiences.
We are inspired by Ibn Battuta because we also want to connect cultures. We are a bridge for those who love and live in Germany. But do not want to give up their own values, but want to share them.
In addition, with our products, which we will always expand, we want to give Muslim parents the opportunity to take their children on a journey. On a journey of beautiful memories. On a journey as storytellers.
By Muslims for Muslims
We are still a small team and still growing. But without a team, a project like Battutabooks is not possible. Here you can find insight into our Battutabooks team. If you would like to join us on our journey, feel free to write to: firstname.lastname@example.org.

"My daughter is my biggest inspiration"
Enes studied Bachelor of Arts – Communication Design and worked for more than 10 years in digital agencies for international clients and won numerous international awards. During his studies and afterwards, Enes has already illustrated numerous children’s books and gained years of experience as an illustrator and designer.
During his parental leave, in the first month after the birth of his daughter, he developed his first own motifs and illustrated them with watercolors.
His daughter was also the reason why the first German-language personalized Islamic children’s books were created. There were simply no beautiful, especially Islamic personalized children’s books.
“Everything I do, I do for my daughter. Starting with my daughter, I want to develop and offer the most beautiful Islamic print products for all children. They are all our future and deserve the best! That’s why I focus on quality and timeless designs. My daughter is my biggest inspiration”
